Advanced daily backup

All UKFast backup is performed using Veritas backup exec for Windows and NetVault for Linux. With Veritas a complete image of the machine is taken and this saved "image" can be loaded directly back onto the server in full as required - every single setting that was on the machine originally is restored. It's the fastest disk based recovery on the market.

NetVault offers additional fault tolerance tools for greater reliability, improved scalability, enhanced administrator productivity and rapid deployment to protect your most valuable asset, data.

Managed Cisco ASA firewall

The Cisco ASA is a modular, purpose-built security appliance that delivers enterprise-class security for small to medium-sized business networks.

Server maintenance

This service includes full software updates and patching. Once the relevant patches have been released and UKFast have received notification, we install the patches to ensure the updates are installed correctly and without problem.

Once a patch has been installed, it is usual for the server that the patch has been installed onto to need a reboot. UKFast will contact the client with regard to the timing of the reboot to ensure this causes minimum amount of downtime and inconvenience.

Multiple server monitoring

UKFast will provide full service, server monitoring covering all 6 of the following aspects of your dedicated managed server every 15 minutes to prevent against false positives, in 3 locations:
