Shares of Yahoo soar 10 percent on hopes that the departure of CEO Jerry Yang will clear the way for a deal with Microsoft. Yang, whose leadership came under growing criticism from shareholders after he failed to agree to a deal with Microsoft, will step down from his role as soon as the board finds a replacement, Yahoo says. Executive search company Heidrick & Struggles will run the search process for Yahoo CEO candidates.
